Google Images is a great way to find pictures. Here are a few tips to get the most out of Google Images:
Search for a particular type of file: If you want a particular type of file say JPG or BMP, add this after your search query - filetype:
For example if you want pictures of birds in BMP format, type pictures of birds filetype: BMP
Use Search Tools: After entering your search query, choose Serach Tools options below. Those tools will help you to get the image you want faster.
Find Similar Images: If you want the similar images to the image you found, click on the image and you'll find the options "more sizes" and "similar" choose the option that you want.
